How to Make a Mini Book Ornament

This is your sign to make an ornament with mini books of your favorite reads this year... with my free Canva template!

Tools:

• Scissors

Materials:

• Glue (I used a glue stick)

• Foam sheet or cardboard (I prefer using white cardboard for firmness)

• Clear ornament ball

• Ribbon

• Template printed on paper

• Glitter glue or paper tag to write the year on

Instructions:

1. Upload your favorite books from the year into my free Canva template. If you use any apps to track your reading, use that to your advantage to help you remember. Additionally, if you're like me and had a reading slump this year, you can always fill the ornament with favorite books in general.

2. Print out your filled template at your local library if you don't have a printer at home.

3. Cut out each book. Then, wrap it around the foam sheet along the mini book's spine. Cut the foam to size.

4. Glue the paper book to the foam and feel free to trim as needed.

5. Let the books dry.

6. Add them to the clear ornament, secure with a bow made of ribbon, and feel free to customize the outside as you please!
